Early life and education

Tharita was raised an only child in Milan by her father Franco Catulle, and her mother Emy Cesaroni who was a famous Italian actress and singer.

She attended a local high school at which she practiced her acting skills with the school’s drama club, while she was also interested in creative writing and doing gymnastics. She matriculated in 1991, but hasn’t talked about pursuing a college degree – it’s widely believed that she skipped college to focus on her career in the film industry.

Tharita’s career

Tharita is said to be very popular in Italy, but not a lot is known about her career except that she received special thanks for the 2013 horror comedy movie “The Rambler”, written and directed by Calvin Reeder, and which starred her husband Dermot, Lindsay Pulsipher and Natasha Lyonne – it follows a man who is let out of prison and who then starts living on the road.

It was nominated for a New Visions Award as well as for an Audience Award (both for Calvin Reeder).

Love life and marriage with Dermot Mulroney

He and Catherine married in 1990, she gave birth to their son Clyde Keener Mulroney on 21 June 1991, but they split in May 2005.

She is a lover of animals but doesn’t have a pet because she is not okay with her daughters living in the same house as a dog or a cat. During her teenage years, she occasionally volunteered at a local animal shelter.

Tharita is not very sociable, and mostly prefers to spend time with her husband and her daughters – she rarely keeps her husband company at his red carpet events, and he usually has to try really hard to persuade her to go with him.

In her spare time, Tharita is keen on watching Italian movies starring her favorite actors and actresses Marcello Mastroianni, Raoul Bova and Sophia Loren, such as “La Dolce Vita”, “Marriage Italian Style” and “City of Women”.
