Declan Donnelly, the beloved British television presenter and producer, has experienced the joy of fatherhood alongside his wife, Ali Astall.
Their family has grown with the arrival of two beautiful children, Isla Elizabeth Anne and Jack Anthony Alphonsus.
The anticipation for parenthood began in March 2018 when Dec took to Twitter to share the exciting news of their impending journey into fatherhood. Expressing gratitude for the warm wishes, he wrote, “Ali and I are delighted to be expecting our first child. Thanks for all the love, we really appreciate it.”
The couple’s first taste of parental bliss came in September 2018 when they joyfully welcomed their daughter, Isla Elizabeth Anne. Dec took to Twitter again to share the news, saying, “Ali and I are thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl, Isla Elizabeth Anne, who was born just after 9 o’clock this morning. Mother and daughter both doing well, Dad is head over heels!”
The joy of parenthood continued to unfold in July 2022 when the couple embraced the arrival of their son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus. In a heartfelt Instagram post, they introduced Jack to the world with a touching photo of the tiny baby holding onto Dec’s hands. Jack’s middle name, Alphonsus, serves as a meaningful tribute to Dec’s late father.
